Perfect New Mexican food!! Green chile sauce to die for. The Chile relleno was crispier than I think I've ever had one, even smothered in green chile. Also, btw New Mexico knows how to do pinto beans right.

I just keep coming back, the plates are big enough for my wife and I to share and the service is generally pretty good. We almost exclusively get the Huevos with green on the side (so we can season to taste) and we've never been disappointed. The reasons I feel it's 4 instead of 5 are that the dining area is very cramped and can be quite loud and some of the servers are less attentive to your drink levels than others.
That said we'll keep coming back as long as they'll keep taking our money. -

Long ago, when Perea's was on Central, partner and I went at least once a month. They moved, we moved...
The thick, hot, flavorful Chile was my gold standard; still is.
We finally went to Perea's again. Partner and I both got Omelets for lunch. The Omelets are perfectly cooked; gooey with cheese and smothered in their awesome green Chile. The hash-brown potatos are golden brown and so wonderful!
Every time we go, I see these amazing looking pancakes. Next visit...
The service is fast and friendly.
The food is Chile Heaven! -

Great authentic New Mexican food. Huge portions for a cheap price.
It's a charming little restaurant. Super casual. The outside makes me think it used to be a Long John Silvers. I wouldn't recommend it for parties larger than 6 but I'm sure they'd accommodate if need be.
I cannot believe I didn't find this place sooner. They make some of the best sopapillas in town. -
